In order for the violin making profession to be brought forward, I regularly welcome young talents in the profession. The newest addition is Ilze de Ligt from the Netherlands. She has completed her violin building training at ILSA in Belgium and worked with me for two months in autumn 2023. This is the second violin Ilze has built for me, the first was sold after a short time to a young Norwegian talent. I have followed up closely during the entire construction process.

The violin is built in Ilze’s workshop in the Netherlands from first-class wood; Italian alpine spruce, a beautiful maple back, sides and neck in European flame maple. The violin is painted and rigged up by Vik Vandamme in Belgium. This is the instrument for those who want the taste of a von der Lippe violin at a very competetive price. In the pictures below, you can see how exactly this violin was created with Ilze’s expert hands and new knowledge.

The violin was sold after only three weeks to a violin student at the Norwegian Academy of Music. But the good news is that Ilze is already working on the next violin. Contact jacob@vonderlippe to try the next one the violin completely non-binding.
